what's the matter with thee, thomasin? ([personal profile] curdle) wrote in [community profile] witchhouse2017-03-28 10:05 am

THOMMY T! YOU JUST MISSED THE CRAZIEST OF CRAZIES

» so u want to play with thomasin, in the airlocked universe or just in general! cool let's do that
» doing any kind of modern au would a.) literally just be me describing religious abuse b.) not work as a way of preserving the way the character behaves, in game or any other setting! HOWEVER: i definitely do want to write what her texting would look like
» so let's just like handwave that it's a modern au insofar as they're like... living in a vaguely modern setting... but also that it's post-airlocked, somehow, and thomasin is a transdimensional refugee trying to make her way in this crazy coffee shop au we call life while still using thou as the totally viable pronoun it is, and we just don't question it or talk about the mechanics of it much
» THAT SAID i am 110% down with any other kind of au! mastermind au, "we're actually plotting to murder the rest of the space station" au, weird high fantasy au, living in a hovel full of baby bones au, modern au where she is in fact pushing 400, idgaf i'm into it
» also you can just hit me with picture prompts or vague word salad and i'll make up some kind of starter
» she's 15, don't be gross, but do write graphic baby murder

Say, Thomasin? If I were to perhaps be out buying groceries today, and I happened to come to the aisle where they sell all the magazines and paperback books, would you be interested in some new reading material?
The selection isn't as diverse as, say, an actual bookstore, but I think you might find some of these interesting.

They have a lot of the kinds that moms like to read, with diet advice on one page and then decadent cake recipes on the next. There's also some home and garden ones, the silly tabloids, the rare specialty magazines...and the teen ones that tell you about lipstick and the cute boys of the month.
I kind of want to get a few of the gardening ones, actually.
